Updated on August 26th, 2021. Original title: Cingo Reinforces Commitment to Homeowners With Addition of Second Home Inspection Company

Cingo, one of the Southeast's leading home services companies, continues its commitment to serve homeowners by adding Building Knowledge to its portfolio of brands.

One of the oldest and most respected home inspection service companies in the region, Building Knowledge is one of two Atlanta home inspection companies to join forces with Cingo this year. The Cornerstone Inspection Group and Building Knowledge, which will both continue to operate under their own brands, extend Cingo's ability to provide the variety of protection services required by homeowners today.

"We searched for and found the best in the business," says Lanny Allgood, CEO of Cingo, a regional home protection services firm founded as a pest control company in 1974. "The combination of Cingo, Cornerstone and Building Knowledge puts us in the best position possible to provide homeowners with the home protection services they need."

With an expected 10,000 home inspections in 2019, the combined company is among the largest in the country and has the largest footprint of any home inspection company in Georgia. Building on the strong reputations of the three companies, Cingo will focus on homeowners and real estate professionals across Georgia and South Carolina.

Building Knowledge has provided home inspections around the Southeast for more than 30 years. Founder Greg Spencer pioneered online home inspection scheduling. Spencer and long-time associate Roland LeClaire will continue with Building Knowledge.

Cingo partner Brandon Ansley will lead the Cornerstone and Building Knowledge teams, as they join the more than 100 Cingo team members already based throughout Georgia and South Carolina.

"A home inspection is the first step people take to protect their home investment, and that's where we're going to start, too," says Allgood. "Adding the expertise of Building Knowledge to our team reaffirms our commitment to creating a new model of protection services for homeowners.

"Our goal is to be the company homeowners know from the start — We'll know their home like no one else can."
