This post originally appeared in The 'Good News, a blog by Allgood Services, Inc. dba Allgood Pest Solutions. In February 2017, the company changed its name to Cingo.
Dublin, Georgia based Allgood Services, Inc. was founded in 1974 and is one of two companies in the southeast doing business under the trade name Allgood Pest Solutions in different geographic markets. The second company — Duluth, Georgia-based Allgood Services of Georgia, Inc. — issued a press release last week that has confused some customers and industry partners. Both companies were founded by Jimmy Allgood, but there is no longer any common ownership.
In their March 9th press release, Duluth-based Allgood Services of Georgia, Inc. announced that they would be expanding their focus beyond pest control to include home repair and other ancillary services. They also announced sale of their Jacksonville, FL operations to Bug Out, to support this growth by, "unlocking assets invested in the Jacksonville market."
Allgood Services, Inc. CEO Lanny Allgood stated, "We wish them well in their new strategy. A number of industry members believe a broader product offering is helpful. However, our Allgood will continue to focus on our core - providing customers with a Pest Free Home. We operate in eight markets in Georgia and South Carolina and our expansions and investments have been deliberate. We are committed to customers from Augusta to Charleston, from Dublin to Waycross and all points in between."
